Requirements / QualificationsThe San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is looking to add to the substitute teaching pool for Davila Day School, located in Chula Vista, CA.
This position requires one of the following credentials: Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a valid applicable credential as issued by the California commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Experience working with individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing and knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
Substitute Teachers will be assigned year-round on an as-needed basis.

Employment with the San Diego County Office of Education is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer background check. All required California Credentials (if applicable, as issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) must be confirmed prior to employment with SDCOE.
In addition to the completion of pre-employment paperwork, applicants must have San Diego County Fingerprint Clearinghouse. (Current fee for DOJ & FBI as of 08/16/2023 is $77 payable in a cashier's check or money order only).
