As a school chaplain, you perform religious services, provide counseling, and organize community events for students, staff, and parents. While this role is often associated with Christian faith communities, it can serve in a number of different faiths, or even interfaith communities. Your responsibilities typically require you to support the spiritual growth and development of students through religious services and observances, and occasionally through religious educational programming. While it is not necessary that you share in these beliefs, most employers of school chaplains desire candidates who share in the faith of the organization and who can speak from the perspective of a fellow believer.
