To thrive as a School-Based RBT, you need a solid understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior intervention strategies, and must hold an RBT certification. Familiarity with data collection systems, behavior tracking software, and progress reporting tools is essential. Strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills are vital for working effectively with students, teachers, and support staff. These competencies ensure effective implementation of behavioral interventions and promote positive educational outcomes for students with behavioral challenges.

How does a School Based RBT typically collaborate with teachers and other educational staff?

A School Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works closely with teachers, special education staff, and school psychologists to support students with behavioral or developmental needs. Collaboration often involves regular communication, participating in team meetings, and sharing observations to help develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans. RBTs may also provide in-class support, assist in data collection, and offer strategies to teachers for managing challenging behaviors, ensuring a cohesive approach to student success.

What are school-based RBTs?

School-based Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are trained professionals who work within educational settings to provide behavior therapy and support to students, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders. They implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help students develop social, academic, and life skills. RBTs work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistent and effective interventions, fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Job description

Build Something Meaningful. Lead With Purpose. Change Lives.

More Than a BCBA Position. A Chance to Shape the Future.

Sacred ABA is seeking an exceptional Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as our Clinical Director and help lead the next chapter of our organization's growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a clinician who wants more than a traditional BCBA role. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about high-quality ABA services, values collaboration, and is excited by the opportunity to help build and grow a mission-driven organization.

At Sacred ABA, therapy and education work hand in hand. We are also the proud founders of Our Sacred Academy, a nonprofit private school specifically designed for children with special needs. Together, our ABA and educational programs operate under one roof, creating a collaborative environment where children receive comprehensive support to learn, grow, and thrive.

Founded by parents of children with special needs, our mission is deeply personal. Every decision we make is driven by a commitment to improving the lives of children and families.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Unlike many ABA organizations, we believe in quality over quantity.

Our Clinical Director will enjoy:

  • A small, manageable caseload
  • One primary location with minimal travel
  • Close collaboration with educators and therapists
  • Direct access to ownership and decision-makers
  • Clinical autonomy and professional respect
  • The opportunity to influence the future direction of our ABA program
  • Leadership and program development opportunities

This is not a corporate ABA environment.

There are no unrealistic productivity expectations, no focus on volume over quality, and no layers of bureaucracy standing between you and your ability to make meaningful clinical decisions.

Small Caseload. High Clinical Quality.

We intentionally maintain a small caseload to ensure meaningful outcomes for children and a sustainable work-life balance for our clinicians.

About the Role

As Clinical Director, you will provide clinical leadership while helping guide the continued development of Sacred ABA's services.

You will oversee clinical quality, support our RBT team, collaborate with families and educators, and help ensure exceptional outcomes for the children we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Oversee and maintain a thoughtfully sized caseload
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and training to RBTs
  • Review clinical programming and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and school staff
  • Analyze data and monitor treatment progress
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, documentation, and billing requirements
  • Support staff development and clinical excellence
  • Assist with program development and strategic growth initiatives
  • Help shape the future vision of Sacred ABA's clinical services

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification required
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of BCBA experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Passion for mentoring staff and supporting families
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping build programs
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Leadership compensation package
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-paid short-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development support
  • Company-provided laptop
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Direct access to ownership and executive leadership

Why Sacred ABA?

At Sacred ABA, you are not just joining a company.

You are joining a mission.

You will work alongside a team that genuinely cares about children, families, and one another. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, collaborate closely with educators, and witness firsthand the impact your work has on children's lives every day.

Because our ABA services and school community work together, you will experience milestones that many clinicians rarely get to see. School celebrations, field trips, performances, community outings, holiday events, and student achievements become shared experiences that make this work deeply rewarding.

We believe in supporting our clinicians, respecting clinical expertise, and creating an environment where both children and professionals can thrive.

If you are looking for a leadership opportunity where your voice matters, your expertise is valued, and your work creates lasting impact, we would love to meet you.

Join us in creating brighter futures for children and families.
