Pay Range: $28.60/hr. + $5.05/hr. (Health & Wellness Benefit if benefits declined)

(SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are currently hiring a Travel Clerk III at our Schofield Barracks, HI location to perform a full range of administrative tasks & technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services. This position works under the general guidance and supervision of the PPPO Supervisor.


The Travel Clerk III (TCIII) performs work across all PPPO actions. The TCIII provides detailed reviews of Personal Property shipments entered into the system of record by military and civilian personnel to facilitate the relocation of personal property and family members based on orders, transportation entitlements, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR). The TCIII will review and assist with documentation for shipments and services that include but are not limited to House Hold Goods (HHG) shipments, Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) shipments,, Personally Procured Moves (PPMs) and PPM close outs, Exception to Policy (ETP) memorandums, Non-Temporary Storage Release (NTSR), Storage In Transit (SIT) Extensions, & Entitlement Extensions.


Essential job duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Electronically reviewing/revising submitted shipment applications in the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) system ensuring compliance with transportation entitlements and regulations.
  • Preparing documentation tied to the shipment application and/or to support an extension, close out, or release of an existing shipment.
  • Submitting shipment packets for scheduling with Transportation Service Provider.
  • Ensuring internal trackers are updated with completed workload.
  • Assisting internal and external customers via email, telephone, and in person professionally, courteously, and efficiently.
  • Assisting at the front desk and in the computer lab as scheduled.
  • Providing specialty counseling to service members as assigned.
  • Reading/understanding/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reading/understanding the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirement.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Additional Duties may include:

  • Cross utilization in other job duties such as safety, security and environmental
  • Housekeeping of office areas and areas surrounding the office entrances
  • Overtime work as required
  • Other duties as deemed necessary


Work Conditions:

  • Required to perform housekeeping of work areas.
  • Expected to work overtime when required.
  • Work hours and work location may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements.
  • May be assigned to support contract support requirements in job-related area cross trainings and could be included in tasks involving environmental, safety and security requirements.
  • Work is typically done in well-ventilated and lighted areas.ย 
  • May be required to lift 25 to 50 pounds without assistance.ย 
  • May be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time while working.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • At least two to three (2-3) years of work-related experience.
  • At least two (2) years administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of Defense Transportation Regulations and Joint Travel Regulations.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 software applications.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
  • Current HI Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NACI clearance.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include Drug, SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.ย 
  • There will be random drug testing throughout employment.
