Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Director or Charge Nurse, the OPSU Secretary is responsible for completing necessary requisitions and performing clerical and receptionist duties, requisitioning supplies, equipment and services from other departments, maintaining contact with waiting patients and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Communicationa. Utilizes customer friendly telephone skills exhibited by friendly greeting, modulated voice and calm demeanor.b. Demonstrates welcoming atmosphere, exhibited by rapid response to inquiries, direct eye contact, appropriate facial expressions.c. Makes calls to aid flow of schedule as requested by Charge Nurse d.
