They are seeking a detail-oriented Temp Design Operations Associate to support cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized Temp Design Operations Associate to support the apparel product development process from concept through production. This role serves as a key liaison between Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production, ensuring projects stay on schedule and product information remains accurate throughout development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of apparel construction, technical documentation, and product lifecycle management.
Responsibilities Of The Temp Design Operations Associate
  • Support the end-to-end apparel product development process from concept through production.
  • Coordinate seasonal calendars, development timelines, key milestones, and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Partner with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, and vendor partners to ensure timely execution.
  • Assist with the creation, organization, and maintenance of technical packages (tech packs), including Bills of Materials (BOMs), garment specifications, measurements, colorways, and construction details.
  • Track samples, prototypes, and fit approvals while maintaining organized development documentation.
  • Maintain accurate product information within PLM and other internal systems throughout the development cycle.
  • Coordinate trims, fabrics, artwork, labels, and supporting product documentation to ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and communicate updates to cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare development reports, trackers, and project updates to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance workflow efficiency, organization, and speed to market.
Required Experience/Skills For The Temp Design Operations Associate
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in apparel product development, design operations, technical design support, or a related apparel role.
  • Working knowledge of apparel construction, garment manufacturing, and technical package development.
  • Experience creating or supporting tech packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), garment specifications, and sample tracking.
  • Experience working with PLM systems and maintaining accurate product data.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
