Job description

This position is per diem (PRN) meaning there are not guaranteed hours each week or a set schedule. This position will work up to 24 hours per week.ย  Weekend availability a plus but not required.ย 

*Please note this position will be working in a call-center environment and will be on the phone throughout the day.

Location: 8510 McAlpine Park Drive, Charlotte NC 28211

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 am โ€“ 5:00 pm as needed up to 23 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY: The Mammography Scheduler schedules mammography and DEXA appointments at multiple Charlotte Radiology facilities. ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule mammography and DEXA appointments. Provides information to the patient, in regard to anniversary dates and proper recommendation for return.ย  Coordinate scheduling at multiple facilitiesย 
  • Works closely with the authorization department ensuring efficiencyย 
  • Maintain effective communication with Special Accountsย 
  • Maintain effective record and data base informationย 

Qualifications:

  • Medical office, call center and/or customer service experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experienceย 
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Computer literacy; Knowledge of Windows and Outlookย 
  • Medical office experienceย 
  • Strong verbal and written communicationย 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to multitask and shift priorities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must have excellent organizational and Interpersonal skillsย 
  • Ability to withstand long periods of sitting and repetitive handworkย 
  • Lift 25 lbs
  • Travel required: 0-25% of the time
