Become a IT Systems and Financial Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and help enable the financial planning systems that power a more sustainable energy future. In this role, you will lead the reliability, integrity, and integration of critical planning, budgeting, and reporting platforms-supporting core processes such as forecasting, month-end close, and enterprise financial reporting. As an IT Systems and Financial Advisor, you will partner closely with Operational Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve complex system issues, manage data flows and configurations, and advance automation and standardization efforts that improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Your work will directly strengthen the systems that inform strategic and regulatory decision-making, supporting SCE's mission to deliver reliable, clean energy.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains the performance and availability of applications and data systems including batch jobs, SQL Service Integration Services (SSIS), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs, and sync engines.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT, and business stakeholders, to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Performs root cause analysis for operational incidents and recommends preventive measures. Documents supporting policies, processes, and procedures within the areas of responsibility. Reviews the IT systems and performs daily routines to ensure stability and high availability. Ensures all incidents and requests are recorded and updated within the service desk system.
  • Delivers incident resolution and articulates clearly and concisely with end-users and internal stakeholders.
  • Manages software licenses, upgrades, and patches, ensuring all systems are up to date and compatible with business needs.
  • Reviews, evaluates and recommends solutions related to hardware and software acquisitions and network updates.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of experience as an IT Administrator.
  • Experience in maintaining performance and availability of applications and data systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial analysis, planning, modeling, and forecasting within regulated utility or energy industry environments.
  • Experience supporting financial planning activities in regulated utility settings, including rate case, regulatory, or cost-of-service-driven planning processes.
  • Experience maintaining, configuring, or supporting financial planning, budgeting.
  • Experience with financial platforms such as SAP, CCH Tagetik, Utilities International, PowerPlan, or major planning tools (Oracle Cloud EPM, Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning)
  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or equivalent.

Additional Information
  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
