Job Responsibilities
  • Supervision of all canteen personnel, civilian back up and inmates.
  • Interview, hire, and terminate all inmate canteen workers.
  • Oversee sales transactions through the canteen point of sale system.
  • Ensures all adjustments are correctly processed.
  • Maintain proper requisitioning, receipt, and storage of all canteen products.
  • Ensure that all policy and security procedures are followed to prevent loss of canteen product and equipment.
  • Follow procedures to maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure stock rotation.
  • Supervise the daily reporting of sales and receipts to ensure they are accurate.
  • Conducts daily, quarterly, and monthly inventories.
  • Standard position hours may vary per institution and subject to change.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
