Position Overview

This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting the enterprise endpoint management environment, with a primary focus on Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Intune, CMG, and co-management in a hybrid Windows environment. The position supports the full lifecycle of modern device management, including software deployment, patching, operating system deployment, Windows Autopilot, compliance policies, conditional access, and reporting.

The incumbent works closely with government and technical teams to prioritize work, resolve issues, improve deployment processes, and ensure timely delivery of enterprise services. Key responsibilities include managing software and OS deployments, creating and maintaining documentation, supporting end users and support teams, and providing recommendations based on industry best practices for Windows endpoint management.

This position requires strong technical expertise in MECM/SCCM, Intune, Power BI, SQL, scripting, and Microsoft cloud and identity tools, along with excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Experience with change management, configuration management, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID is also important.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Ability to translate endpoint management goals into coordinated action by prioritizing deployments, patching, compliance, and troubleshooting to support business needs. It also involves aligning with stakeholders, managing risks, and delivering timely, reliable improvements across SCCM/MECM, Intune, and hybrid device management environments.
  • Operational Oversight: Ongoing management and monitoring of the endpoint environment to ensure systems, deployments, patching, and compliance activities run smoothly and meet service expectations. It includes tracking performance, resolving issues, maintaining documentation, and ensuring processes are followed consistently across SCCM/MECM, Intune, and hybrid Windows environments.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with government stakeholders, technical teams, support groups, and end users to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, and ensure successful deployment and support of endpoint management services. It also includes sharing ideas, communicating clearly, and partnering to improve processes, service delivery, and the overall user experience.
  • Technical Performance: Ability to effectively administer, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise endpoint management tools and services such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, CMG, and co-management. It includes delivering reliable software deployments, patch management, reporting, scripting, and device lifecycle support while maintaining high service quality and meeting operational standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 8 years' experience or Master's Degree with 5 years of experience
  • Experience: 8+ years of IT experience, hands-on experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting SCCM/MECM 2409 or higher in an enterprise environment, with at least 2 years at that version level. The role also requires experience with Intune, co-management, CMG, Windows Autopilot, patch management, OS deployment, reporting, scripting, Power BI, SQL, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Technical Proficiency: ability to administer, configure, and troubleshoot SCCM/MECM, Intune, CMG, and co-management in a hybrid Windows environment. It also requires proficiency with software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, Windows Autopilot, Power BI, SQL, PowerShell, and other scripting tools, along with knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, conditional access, and endpoint compliance management.
  • Compliance: ensuring devices and endpoint management processes meet organizational standards, security requirements, and configuration policies. It includes maintaining patch levels, enforcing device and application policies, supporting conditional access, and monitoring systems to verify that endpoints remain secure and aligned with enterprise requirements.
  • Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, SCCM certification
