Job Description:
Level 3 Microsoft SCCM Administrator with scripting skills (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager)
Position Responsibilities:
Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in administrating, maintaining, and monitoring Microsoft SCCM (including Active Directory and Group Policies) systems and an environment in support of over 4,000 users.
Administer and manage (including patching) Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) systems and an environment.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and perform root cause analysis on SCCM system and client issues.
Document and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in regards to the SCCM systems and provide training as necessary.
Monitor, maintain and optimize the Microsoft SCCM systems and environment to ensure performance efficiencies and optimization.
Develop, maintain, and utilize SCCM to follow up on desktop changes including software installations.
Assist in supporting image and patching deployment with OSD as necessary.
Assist lower Tier support teams on issues and outage escalations.
Must have solid knowledge and understanding of Active Directory and Windows administration, including Group Policies, security, and access management.
Must have solid knowledge and understanding of security best practices for SCCM systems including hardening processes.
Must have solid knowledge and understanding of SCCM clients (hardware/software) including but not limited to installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting these clients.
Provide recommended changes and improvements on the SCCM systems and environment.
Must have solid knowledge and understanding of hardware sizing requirements and configuration in support of SCCM systems and environment.
Design and manage the systems that support the Desktop/Laptop environment. This includes tools for Configuration Management (SCCM), Microsoft Orchestrator, Power Management, and Patch Management. Provide reports on system usage.
Define and follow Process and Procedures for assigned platforms. Train technical resources (i.e. Desktop Technicians) in the operation and troubleshooting processes of the Configuration Management(SCCM), Power Management, and Patch Management platforms. Provide escalation support as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Experience in an enterprise-level LAN management (specifically Windows Server), systems configuration, network directories, domain name services, authentication, email, security and backup functions.
Strong Knowledge and experience with configuration management tools or systems, such as System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) required.
Strong knowledge or a scripting language such as Perl or PowerShell is a huge plus.
Knowledge and Experience installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems for use in a network environment.
Ability to identify problems, analyze and plan actions necessary to resolve.
Must be detail oriented and have ability to follow and/or provide concise verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS network protocols and services.
Knowledge of computer security vulnerabilities and protection methods.
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Technical writing is a plus.
Strong Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
