As a scanning coordinator, your duties include regular monitoring of pricing information and updating it as required. This includes keeping up with daily price reductions and sales of items and pricing new inventory. While it is not among your primary responsibilities, you may regularly interact with customers, so customer service skills and experience are necessary qualifications. Attention to detail is also essential to maintain the integrity of the business’s inventory. This career path requires a high school diploma or GED experience.

Familiarity with retail scanning systems, such as point-of-sale (POS) software and electronic shelf labeling tools, is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and time management are valuable soft skills for this role.
