Job description

CT Scan Technologist

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to join our CT Scan team!

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT scans. The CT Technologist will have an above average knowledge of CT equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

Hours: Full-Time hours, .9 FTE/72 hours every two weeks working 12-hour shifts, 7 shifts on/7 shifts off, Overnights

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an Associate Degree in Radiography, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
  • ARRT (R) (CT)
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license (WI Locations only)
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images.
