Temp-To-Hire-Mailroom Scanner Operator

5 AM-1:30 PM Monday-Saturday (With a day off during the week)

Job Summary: 

The Mailroom / Document Processing Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, distributing, opening, and processing daily incoming mail to ensure timely and accurate document handling. This role involves scanning documents using the OPEX mail extraction system, verifying the accuracy and completeness of scanned records, and maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple assignments while meeting quality and production standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Receive and sort trays of incoming mail, weighing up to 10 lbs each
  • Sort, load, and scan documents using the OPEX mail extractor machine
  • Scan contents of envelopes based on established procedures and rulesets
  • Assess workload to maintain steady production flow
  • QA documents when scanning is completed
  • Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and production protocols
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal documentation requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Process a high volume of work, meeting and exceeding production standards
  • Demonstrated history of excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Good communication and basic computer skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong, positive, team-player attitude and approach to the day
  • Experience using the OPEX mail extractor machine is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • successfully pass a background check.

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
