Position Title: General Clerk II
Employer: Focus & Find (supporting the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Abingdon, VA)
Location: 310 Cummings Street, Suite A, Abingdon, VA
Type: Full-Time, On-Site, Monday–Friday
Competitive Pay: $18.28/hr. + $5.09/hr. Health & Welfare Benefit
 
 
About the Role
Focus and Find is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Clerk II to join our team supporting the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Abingdon, VA. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, work with case files, and assist with office operations that keep federal legal processes running smoothly.
 
Responsibilities
·        Perform data entry, word processing, and document preparation
·        Answer calls, greet visitors, and handle inquiries
·        Prepare and distribute correspondence and documents. 
·        Manage incoming/outgoing mail and packages
·        Operate office equipment (copiers, scanners, fax machines)
·        Support meeting setup, filing, and document organization.
·        Assist with small administrative projects and other duties as needed.
 
Qualifications
·        High school diploma or equivalent (required)
·        Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative experience (federal experience a plus)
·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
·        Strong communication and organizational skills
·        U.S. citizenship (required)
·        Ability to pass a Department of Justice background check
