About the role
The Scale Operator is responsible for monitoring all truck traffic, accurately recording load data, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Weigh and document all inbound and outbound truck loads.
  • Review driver Origin & Destination (O&D) forms and verify load compliance.
  • Enter load data into internal systems and maintain accurate scale tickets and records.
  • Communicate tonnage and operation updates to internal teams.
  • Enforce DEP regulations and site safety requirements, including PPE use.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly scale house and perform routine walkdowns.
  • Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public.
  • Report operational issues or irregularities to supervision.
  • Support special projects and work additional hours as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with records systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 22.60 - 30.10 USD per hour
