Job Description


Timber Creek Recycling is seeking a customer-focused Scale House Operator to support our dynamic and growing company. This is a customer-facing position supporting operations and sales. Our ideal applicant is a positive individual, used to wearing many hats and managing different tasks throughout a typical workday. This position is critical in our mission to provide accurate, reliable, and safe service. Therefore, the individual in this position must possess those same qualities. The primary responsibilities each day for this role will be to service customers in person or on the phone, with product information, orders, scheduling on-time deliveries, and more.


Responsibilities

  • Manage phones, take orders, delivers message, handle customer issues and orders.
  • Ensures efficient operation of the scale house & facility logistics
  • Enter customer and order data in the company software
  • Ensure management is informed of deadlines and issues
  • Prepare correspondence accurately from instructions and other provided information
  • Maintains proper documentation for correspondence, business matters, and other related data
  • Provides clerical assistance to co-workers & management as needed.
  • Measure/calculate drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Ad Hoc projects


Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a customer service role
  • Experience in the waste management or similar industry is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Positive attitude and flexibility with the changes that come with a growing company
  • Problem-solving and solid teamwork skills
