Job description

Immediate Hire: Instrumentation/Calibration Technician (Mid–Sr Level)

Join a fast‑growing biomanufacturing expansion in Holly Springs, NC, supporting one of the region’s most impactful Life Science operations. This fully onsite role offers hands-on work with complex systems, exposure to greenfield construction, and clear opportunities for advancement. Your work directly supports the production of medicines that improve and save lives.

Role Overview

As a Calibration Technician, you’ll perform critical calibrations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across manufacturing, utilities, and select lab systems. You’ll work in a dynamic expansion environment where precision, safety, and strong documentation practices are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • GxP Calibrations — Complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate, compliant documentation aligned with site procedures.
  • Instrumentation Support — Perform flow, conductivity, pH, humidity, temperature, pressure, mass, and dimensional calibrations.
  • Equipment Handling — Maintain standards, test equipment, and client-owned instrumentation.
  • Troubleshooting — Support minor repairs and troubleshooting while prioritizing scheduled calibration and maintenance events.
  • Safety Compliance — Proactively identify safety risks and ensure full adherence to site safety requirements, especially in active construction zones.
  • Client Interaction — Assess client needs, develop effective technical solutions, and build strong working relationships.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years calibration or instrumentation experience (manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience with loop checks, humidity, temperature, pressure, and pH calibrations.
  • Familiarity with process equipment, utilities systems, and basic lab instruments.
  • OSHA 10/30 preferred (training available).
  • High attention to detail, especially in GxP documentation and referencing standards.
  • Solid understanding of GMPs and life‑science regulatory expectations.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Thorough electrical panel safety knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expereince in pharma, biotech, or military environments.
  • Experience with 4–20 mA transmitters and loop calibrations.
  • Two‑year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent military training.
  • Expanded understanding of traceability, TURs, and calibration accuracy requirements.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within defined scope and seek clarification when needed.
  • Self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision.
Work Environment

This is a fully onsite, day‑shift role within a greenfield construction setting. Safety awareness is critical due to active construction activity. Steel‑toed boots are required, with reimbursement available. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential adjustments as projects progress.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
