Saunders Staffing, Inc. is recruiting for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the Weston, WV area.
Candidates must have an active LPN license in good standing in the state of West Virginia and a minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care.
Full-time positions available. Candidates must be flexible and available to work all shifts as needed.
Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or other authorized healthcare provider. The LPN assists with patient assessments, medication administration, treatments, documentation, and implementation of individualized care plans while helping maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.
  • Assist with implementation of individualized nursing care plans.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other relevant patient information.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record systems.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs as appropriate.
  • Work effectively with patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health conditions.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, medication-administration, and patient-care procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies.
  • Help maintain a professional, respectful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
  • Active West Virginia LPN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of psychiatric or behavioral health care experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing behavioral or mental health challenges.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Must be flexible and available to work all shifts as needed.
