Job description

Join a powerhouse performance marketing team and let your skills shine as a Performance Marketing - Google Ads Media Buyer.

You will launch, manage, and scale paid search campaigns across multiple verticals on google ads. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing performance-focused Google Ads campaigns, optimizing toward profitability, and using data to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and return on ad spend. This role is responsible for campaign strategy, execution, testing, optimization, and identifying opportunities to scale profitable acquisition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build, launch, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Search, Display, Performance Max, YouTube, and other applicable campaign types.

  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and market research to identify new campaign opportunities.

  • Develop campaign structures, keyword strategies, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and budget allocations based on performance goals.

  • Write, test, and optimize ad copy, headlines, extensions, landing page messaging, and creative concepts.

  • Monitor campaign performance, pacing, lead quality, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, and overall profitability.

  • Analyze search term reports and regularly add negative keywords to improve traffic quality and reduce wasted spend.

  • Build and manage remarketing audiences, customer lists, demographic targeting, geographic targeting, and other audience segments.

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, product teams, and landing page teams to improve conversion rates and campaign performance.

  • Set up, validate, and troubleshoot conversion tracking, attribution, call tracking, pixels, tags, and offline conversion imports.

  • Develop and execute structured testing plans across ads, keywords, bidding strategies, audiences, landing pages, and campaign structures.

  • Identify opportunities to scale profitable campaigns while maintaining performance and lead quality.

  • Monitor account health, policy compliance, disapprovals, suspensions, and other platform-related issues.

  • Prepare regular performance reports for leadership, providing clear insights, recommendations, and next steps.

  • Stay current on Google Ads updates, automation tools, artificial intelligence capabilities, platform changes, and performance marketing trends.

Qualifications Skills

  • 2+ years of experience managing Google Ads campaigns in a performance marketing, lead generation, agency, or direct-response environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing meaningful monthly advertising budgets and scaling profitable campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of Google Ads campaign structures, keyword match types, bidding strategies, Quality Score, conversion tracking, attribution, and audience targeting.

  • Experience optimizing campaigns toward measurable performance goals such as cost per lead, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, revenue, and profit.

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, call tracking platforms, and other reporting or attribution tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and turn data into actionable decisions.

  • Growth-oriented and constantly looking for new keywords, audiences, campaign types, landing pages, and testing opportunities.

  • Technology-forward with a passion for staying current on paid media tools, artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging advertising strategies.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, tracking platforms, and marketing technologies.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Experience in lead generation, financial services, insurance, home services, or other high-volume performance marketing verticals is preferred.
