The Joint, Office of theย Secretary of War, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across theย Department of War, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.ย 

The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within theย Department of Warย (DoW). These clients include the Office of the Underย Secretary of Warย for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), Office of the Underย Secretary of Warย for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. We haveย a future need for a Military Satellite Communications Acquisition Analyst to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.ย 

Responsibilities

SPA is seeking an experienced MILSATCOM Acquisition Analyst to provide subject matter expertiseย in the modernization and sustainment ofย a number of systems/programs. The Analyst will provide acquisition, programmatic, and in-depth technical, engineering, integration, and resiliency support for satellite communications (SATCOM) systems. Will specifically address space, terminal, and ground mission planning and control segments of SATCOM systems for development, production, and fielding (e.g., Enhanced Polar System-Recapitalization (EPS-R), Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS), Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS), Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Family of Advanced Beyond-Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES), and commercial or hybrid SATCOM systems supporting DoWย in any orbital plane).ย 

Qualifications

Required:ย 

  • 7+ years of acquisition, design, or operational experience with military satellite communications systems and programsย 
  • 10+ years of experience with military operations, acquisition, or design of military systems in generalย 
  • Master's Degreeย 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needsย 

Desired:ย 

  • Previousย experience supporting a PEO or PMOย 
  • DAWIA/DAU PM certification
