Job description

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Sev1Tech is seeking a Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) SME to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. Space Delta 8 is the SATCOM war-fighting lead for the US Space Force and leads the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) with points of presence located at multiple sites CONUS and OCONUS, providing the day-to-day operational support needed to manage DoD's satellite communications capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to supporting the technical assistance, analysis, and informal training related to the DSCS satellite and the RSCCE.

Salary range: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00

Minimum Qualifications
  • US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience specific to DSCS satellite control, payload operations and RSCCE ground system operations and maintenance
  • This role requires travel as necessary to support requirements at other sites, as well as technical meetings.
