About the job 

The Corporate Marketing team is looking for a 6-month contract strategic and execution-oriented Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy, messaging, and evangelism of our Managed Cloud Services capabilities and offerings. This highly cross-functional role sits at the intersection of product, Cloud & Information Services, partnerships, marketing, pre-sales and sales, playing a key role in amplifying our ecosystem value and accelerating Enterprise as well as partner and channel-led growth. You will own how we tell our managed cloud services story, ensuring our offerings are clearly positioned, well-articulated, and effectively marketed to the right audiences.  

 

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Managed Cloud Services, Digital Sovereignty, and Trials, you will: 

  • Build and execute product marketing strategies for our Managed Cloud Services offerings across all marketing channels.  

  • Own the topics of digital sovereignty and SAS’s messaging and positioning POV on that subject. 

  • Manage the SAS Viya trials strategy, understanding how to design and optimize trial models (free trial, freemium, or demo-based) that drive fast time-to-value and strong trial-to-paid conversion, using activation metrics, segmentation, and onboarding collaboration with product, implementation and growth marketing teams. Aligns trial strategy with competitive positioning, pricing/packaging, marketing campaigns and sales enablement to reduce evaluation risk and accelerate conversion. 

  • For the above, this will include:  
  • Define value propositions, messaging, and market positioning - ensuring clear, consistent, and differentiated narratives across portfolios, and audiences.  
  • Drive thought leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, videos, customer reference and story development, speaking engagements and involvement with key 3rd party organizations.  
  • Set direction for content strategy and external marketing promotional programs in collaboration with Growth Marketing, guiding the development of assets that support go-to-market priorities and business objectives.  
  • Represent the company as a spokesperson through public speaking engagements, executive presentations, and customer- and partner-facing forums.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market insights grounded in deep domain expertise to inform all marketing aspects – from positioning to sales strategy.
  • Support the development of sales enablement assets and tools that equip sales teams to effectively position offerings and drive customer conversations.  
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud & Information Services, product managers, partner managers, demand generation, and growth marketing campaign teams to drive aligned go-to-market plans.  
  • Act as a key liaison to launch program teams, supporting new product and feature launches through messaging, campaign alignment, and go-to-market support.  
  • Collaborate with alliance and partner teams to drive awareness and demand through joint campaigns, co-marketing, and marketplace promotions.  
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline. MBA a plus. 

  • 8 years of product marketing or solution marketing experience, preferably in a B2B technology company.  

  • Demonstrated experience with managed cloud services, trials, and digital sovereignty topics. 

  • Experience developing and delivering content and solution level messaging for various venues. 

  • Proven project management skills and comfort managing multiple cross-functional initiatives. 

  • Ability to lead/advise without authority in certain situations. 

  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
