Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a lead analytics consultant experienced in supporting large, complex analytics and enterprise BI platforms. The role is responsible for administering and supporting core analytics infrastructure, including authentication and security integrations, service accounts, data access controls, metadata management, and platform performance optimization. Additionally, this consultant serves as a key technical resource for enabling self-service analytics through the development of operational documentation, user guides, onboarding materials, and governance practices. The role also supports platform upgrades, release validation, data integration efforts, and security administration across multiple technologies, including Starburst, Dremio, Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Alteryx, SAS, Microsoft Fabric, and enterprise data warehouse platforms.


In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience in working with Starburst or Dremio data virtualization tools
  • Experience in developing and supporting BI/Analytics tools


Desired Qualifications:

  • Python, PySpark, Linux Command Line, Jupyterhub, VS Code
  • Understanding of API (REST APIs, CI/CD, Github Actions integrations)
  • Exposure to AI/ML analytics on GCP.
  • Experience using SAS, Alteryx, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools
  • Experience supporting configurations for Starburst Authentication(Oauth2, LDAP), Catalogs, Proxy Service Accounts, and security Integration
  • Strong understanding of modern data engineering principles including distributed query engines, cloud-native analytics
  • Knowledge of data governance, Data lineage, data catalog solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data analysts and data scientist communities
  • Experience supporting Analytical Workspaces/Sandbox environments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation , user guides, onboarding materials, and operational playbooks to enable data analysts
  • Experience with BigQuery, Oracle, Azure SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, Hadoop, or Teradata.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management and schema architecture.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • SQL development and optimization skills.
  • Experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, Materialized views, and performance-tuned reporting queries.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts such as Star and Snowflake Schemas.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes associated scheduling tools, data integration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of BI Platforms including configuration and data access for Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Alteryx, SAS
  • Experience validating platform enhancements or releases
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytics solutions.
  • User, group, and security administration
  • Implement security filters and role-based access controls.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
