Job Summary:
Southwest Gas Corporation is seeking a Supervisor/SAP/Technical to provide high-level technical support for the SAP technology stack. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of business and infrastructure change programs for SAP systems, guiding implementation, and leading teams to ensure business requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
• Integrate or oversee the integration of SAP and non-SAP systems and software solutions within Company environments and external landscapes
• Exhibit and maintain a solid understanding of security, efficient code reuse and software design
• Oversee the optimization and quality assurance of custom developments in SAP systems
• Supervise and/or develop complicated business processes
• Optimize and refactor custom development with use of static and dynamic analysis tools (Code Inspector, Runtime Analysis, Performance Analysis)
• Lead configuration of SAP functional modules and other related meter to cash and customer self service applications and maintain configuration rationale documentation or the SAP technical modules and the enhancement of existing solutions and/or development new software solutions to address specific needs or solve business problems
• Mentor team members with respect to technical guidelines and standards
• Oversee and/or perform tuning, usability assessments and improvements
• Adhere to solution architecture and development best practices
• Oversee and/or participate in investigating, diagnosing, and resolving incidents allocated to the development team
• Maintain an expertise in SAP WRICEF Development and Management
• Support large and complex productive SAP environments
• Perform or assign project analysis and produce concept communication materials utilizing flowcharts, narratives and other documentation including 'What if' scenarios to deliver solutions to known problems and needs assessments on user requested enhancements
• Oversee and/or triage and troubleshoot incidents, identify and propose the solution or workaround and open/monitor vendor tickets as applicable. Perform root cause analysis on problems
• Prioritize changes and communicate status to the business
• Identify improvement opportunities related to SAP
• Manage and/or participate in the evaluation of current business processes to identify areas of improvement or system inefficiencies and oversee/participate in the development of innovative solutions that increase customer satisfaction and align with business strategy requirements
• Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results
• Ensure team complies with Company change management processes when moving configurations into production
• Participate and consult on the operation of SOX business controls and General Computing Controls related to SAP functional modules supported
• Authorize the use of SAP GRC firefighter accounts and analyze/approve related output after use
• Own and authorize use of user access roles for SAP and other meter to cash and self service related applications
• Establish and maintain liaison relationship with business partners and IT organization to align support efforts to meet business needs
• Establish and maintain liaison relationship with third-party vendors to provide effective technical solutions, develop a thorough understanding of vendor SLA’s and communicate any concerns or issues to management
• Manage or conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements
• Contribute and provide direction for short and long-term planning sessions and provide feedback to ensure understanding of business goals and strategy
• Oversee and/or participate in the performance of comprehensive system testing of enhancements, patches and configuration changes. Includes development of test plans and test scripts, as well as partnering with developers during integrated unit testing and the resolution of any issues or defects encountered
• Develop and monitor productivity tools and key performance indicators across multiple delivery methods for multiple audiences
• Develop or review scripts and queries for analysis and troubleshoot data issues
• Act as a liaison between the the developers and the business to support development of reports and reporting tools
• Manage or coordinate tests with third-party service providers
• Understand the Company’s core business and functions as related to the support of SAP modules
• Ensure customer satisfaction related to application performance and end-user experience and collaborate with the technical infrastructure team to troubleshoot and mitigate performance issues as necessary;Maintain communication with the user community to keep them well-informed of system updates or enhancements

• Develop or review and communicate business requirements and functional/technical specifications for the implementation of business solutions. Maintain or oversee the maintenance of specifications going forward in Solution Manager
• Ensure appropriate coordination of resources to support and troubleshoot 24x7 SAP core batch process job failures
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 6 years of SAP Functional or ABAP experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities.
• SAP functional module experience, including the ability to configure the specific SAP modules listed in this job description or Strong ABAP hands-on development skills in SAP ERP, CRM, S4HANA, C4C with strong analytical and technical skills.
• Expert programming experience in the following technical areas: Reporting (conventional and interactive), Object Oriented ABAP, User exits, Business Add-Ins and Enhancement spots, Interface development, BAPI, Module Pool (on-line dialog), SAP Script and Smart-Forms, ISU-Print workbench.
• Understanding of FICA, SAP-ISU modules of ERP/S4HANA and SAP CRM/C4C.
• Exhibit strong functional knowledge and the ability to develop the specific SAP products listed in this posting.
• Knowledge of SOAP, IDOC, FILE, SFTP, PGP, JDBC adapter communication.
• Experience in ABAP WebDynpro, ALE IDOCs, SAP Business Workflow, Adobe Forms, ABAP Proxies, EDI, Data migration.
• Experience supporting large and complex productive SAP environments.
• Experience in SAP ISU, Bill Print Technical.
• Systems Testing and IT implementation experience.
• Project Management experience.
