Job description

SUMMARY

To deliver desired, sustainable business outcomes and assure the integrity and continuity of our systems. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone's hardware, software and/or network systems. This includes teaching domain expertise, providing technical guidance and mentoring, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in any and potentially all roles of the systems development life cycle. Roles may vary by project and assignment.
  • This may include, but not limited to:
    • Develop, plan and/or maintain software applications and/or systems; debug, design, code, test, write specifications, roll-out software, and production support.
    • Technical services; software, hardware and network architecture design and maintenance; security operations.
  • Store engineering, coding based on design provided and roll-out implementation.
  • Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking.
  • Responsible for the development of less experienced AutoZoners; mentor and teach.
  • Responsible for defining code specifications and how systems will be constructed.
  • Conduct code reviews.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Typically requires eight to fifteen years experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Expert proficiency with the AutoZone software, architecture and methodology.
  • Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cobol, Java, MS SQL, C, C++, Informix, Greenplum, Hadoop, ATG, QT4, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS, TCP/IP, Networking and LAN administration.
  • Advanced problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.
  •  Advanced expertise in at least one technical area. Subject matter expertise in more than one functional area.
  • Teaching, coaching and mentoring.
  • Advanced system estimation, planning and execution skills.

    At least 12 years' relevant experience with SAP technologies including SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, ABAP and other SAP modules in a professional services environment, with a large or boutique consulting firm, or serving as an internal consultant within industry. 
    Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP UI5, and SAP Fiori development.
    Proficiency in SAP BTP tools and services, including SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, SAP HANA, ABAP, SAP UI5, SAP Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform SDKs. Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP integration tools.
    Demonstrated experience managing or leading SAP projects, from concept to completion.
    Hands-on functional configuration and design experience with SAP R2R, P2P and O2C, Ariba, processes is a plus.
    Participation in all phases of at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations using S/4 HANA
    Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Information Technology or related field required

    Utilize SAP BTP services to build and deploy applications, promote and implement SAP Clean Core principles.
    Design, set-up, test, and deploy prototype and production R2R, O2C and P2C solutions and ensure that all the pieces work together seamlessly
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
     Ability to lead a team of resources

    Lead the design and development of applications, enhancements, and integrations on the SAP BTP platform.
    Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices in SAP BTP application development, extensions, and integration services.
    Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective SAP BTP solutions.
    Manage and optimize the integration of SAP BTP with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori) and third-party systems.
    Establish and maintain architecture standards for SAP BTP, including security, scalability, and maintainability.
    Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues, ensuring robust and efficient operation of SAP BTP applications.
    Mentor and train other IT resources on how to effectively utilize SAP BTP solutions.
    Project Documentation - responsible for gathering and storing needed documentation of artifacts as outlined.
    Status Reporting - Manage project/program status reporting by pairing with Program Managers for updates. 
    Lead the design, development, and testing for developed solutions and collaborate with agile team peers on the scope of the solution set in a cohesive end to end delivered solution.
    Provide application support after go-live.
