Job description

Technical Trainer – Material Control

Do you have experience operating forklifts, using SAP, and training others? If you enjoy coaching employees, leading by example, and helping others succeed, we'd love to meet you!

We're looking for a Technical Trainer – Material Control to train and develop our Forklift Operators and Material Coordinators. In this role, you'll ensure employees are properly trained on equipment, warehouse processes, safety standards, and SAP while supporting a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours per week

Pay: $23.75/hour - $28.00/hour

What You'll Do
  • Train, coach, and certify Forklift Operators and Material Coordinators.
  • Lead new hire onboarding and hands-on equipment training.
  • Train employees on SAP transactions and Material Control processes.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of Raymond equipment, including:
    • Reach Truck
    • Stand-Up Forklift
    • Turret Truck
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Track employee training records and certifications.
  • Partner with supervisors to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the warehouse.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience training or leading warehouse or Material Control employees.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience operating Raymond material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple training priorities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of warehouse, Material Control, or distribution experience.
  • Previous experience as a trainer, lead, or supervisor.
  • Experience with WMS, RF scanners, or other warehouse systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in warehouse and manufacturing environments around powered industrial equipment.
  • Wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hairnet.
