Summary:

The SAP Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, mapping, and maintenance of EDI technologies and their interaction with the SAP application. Based at the West Virginia manufacturing facility, this role operates as an internal consultant within the IT department, coordinating closely with SAP Business Analysts across business functions to ensure project objectives are well defined, tracked, and completed on schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong EDI configuration experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate technical specifications into effective SAP configurations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and map EDI into the SAP application, coordinating closely with SAP Business Analysts representing business functions such as SD and FI/CO.
  • Create and maintain EDI technologies and their interaction with SAP.
  • Operate as an internal consultant within the IT department, working with Business Analysts and business units to ensure project objectives are well defined, tracked, and completed on schedule.
  • Quickly resolve and document day-to-day issues as they arise.
  • Provide and transfer functional and process knowledge of the latest EDI standards and practices by staying current on published materials and customer requirements.
  • Translate technical specifications into programs or configurations in SAP.
  • Support key users in the areas of localizing detailed designs, process documentation, data cleansing and migration, user acceptance training, end-user training, and go-live support.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including IATF, ISO, ISMS, TISAX, QMS, J-Sox, and safety-related policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of EDI software configuration and mapping experience.
  • Experience in various EDI communication methods (VAN, FTP, AS2, etc.).
  • Experience in unit testing, developing application interfaces, and integration testing.
  • Error tracking and remediation skills are essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of standard automotive EDI documents preferred.
  • Experience in a multicultural environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Scheduling Agreements and the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience in ABAP, PI, EP, or other technical SAP components preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to see and hear (correctable).
  • Able to operate a keyboard.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to travel up to 30%.
