Description Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Sr. SAP Systems Analyst deep expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) to lead the design, enhancement, build and testing of global financial processes. This role will serve as a key driver for costing and controlling capabilities, while also supporting broader finance domains including SAP Central Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Reporting. The position focuses on delivering high-impact system improvements, ensuring alignment with best practices, and driving innovation across Global Finance operations.

Scope of the Role

Project Leadership:

  • Contribute to projects for Global Finance operations, with a strong focus on SAP CO (Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis and Internal Orders).
  • Drive and guide technical decision-making on key application development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between Controlling processes and upstream/downstream integrations (e.g., MM, PP, SD) as well as Central Finance.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Help in design and execution of scalable enhancements and new functionalities in key functions such as Costing (Product Costing & Global Product Costing) and Controlling, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Reporting.

Operational Excellence:

  • Translate global business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications, with a strong emphasis on costing and controlling processes.
  • Provide business consulting.
  • Ensure all solutions align with industry best practices and Perrigo templates.
  • Act as the gatekeeper of the global Perrigo template, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the change control process and documentation for system builds and enhancements.
  • Drive Agile delivery of system improvements, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and solution demos.
  • Act as a gatekeeper regarding up-to-date functional specifications and technical documentation.
  • Assisting with the most complex operational/support tasks (<20%)

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:

  • Assist in the execution of key initiatives to streamline development processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall business strategy.
  • Develop and implement best practices for financial applications through development of workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize solutions and reduce costs.
  • Work with other IT&S leaders to develop roadmaps for key financial applications and processes supporting Costing (Product Costing & Global Product Costing), Controlling, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Reporting.
Experience Required

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, in combination with 10+ years of experience as an SAP Analyst (or similar) role.

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP Finance experience with specialization in SAP Controlling (CO)
  • Proven track record in delivering enhancements and new builds in a global environment.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale development projects and working with complex application environments.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Central Finance and CO integration scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and change management.
  • Experience collaborating with MSPs and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in coaching peers, leading initiatives, and resolving cross-functional issues.
  • Ability to work effectively on projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Skills:

  • SAP CO Expertise: Deep knowledge of Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, CO-PA, Internal Orders, and allocations/settlements.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SAP configuration standards and experience with S/4 HANA Central Finance, Costing (Product Costing & Global Product Costing), Controlling, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective solutions with the ability to identify the impact on Financial process, data and related integration with other SAP modules.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful application enhancements and integrations.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with global finance processes and cost accounting best practices.
