Job description

We are seeking a Senior SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant to support a complex SAP carve-out initiative. This role will be responsible for providing both architectural leadership and hands-on functional expertise to assess, remediate, and optimize production planning processes impacted by the carve-out.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across SAP Production Planning, production order management, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting, with the ability to identify risks, design solutions, and execute system changes in a fast-paced project environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead functional architecture and solution design efforts for SAP Production Planning processes within a carve-out environment.
  • Assess existing SAP PP configurations and business processes to identify remediation requirements.
  • Configure and support SAP Production Planning functionality, including:
    • Production Planning
    • Production Order Management
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Capacity Planning
    • Shop Floor Control
    • Production Execution
  • Analyze and resolve process and system issues resulting from organizational, master data, and system separation activities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, manufacturing teams, finance teams, and technical resources to develop and implement solutions.
  • Support integration points between Production Planning, Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management, and Cost Accounting.
  • Provide expertise in manufacturing costing impacts and process optimization.
  • Support testing activities, defect resolution, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, and solution design documents.
  • Provide best practice recommendations and functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of SAP functional consulting experience with a focus on Production Planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Deep hands-on experience with SAP PP configuration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Production Planning
    • Production Orders
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Manufacturing Operations
    • Capacity Planning
    • Cost Accounting
  • Experience supporting SAP carve-outs, divestitures, acquisitions, or large-scale SAP transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to perform both solution architecture and hands-on configuration activities.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and facilitating functional workshops.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
