Senior SAP Production Planning (PP) Specialist with ABAP Exp. (Minimum 10 years & G.C / U.S.C Citizens Preferred)

12+Months

Dallas, TX & Hartford, CT (Remote + Travel) 

- Most of the work will be remote, but when needed to be onsite, the work will be at various locations, but primarily in Dallas, TX and Hartford, CT. Travel expenses will be covered.

Core Expertise: SAP Production Planning (Minimum 10 years)

Role Overview:  
As a Senior SAP PP Specialist, you will utilize your deep expertise in SAP Production Planning and ABAP programming to deliver robust, customized solutions for our enterprise clients. Your responsibilities will include configuring and optimizing SAP PP modules, developing tailored enhancements in ABAP, integrating with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and ensuring efficient production processes. You will engage with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, drive technical innovation, and troubleshoot critical issues for continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, implement, and support the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Production Master Data modules to enhance business operations.  
  • Develop custom functionalities and enhancements using ABAP and SAP development frameworks.  
  • Design, manage, and optimize end-to-end integrations between SAP PP and MES or other third-party systems.  
  • Create clear and thorough technical documentation for all developments and system changes.  
  • Participate in business requirement workshops, offering technical guidance and solution expertise.  
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve issues to guarantee stable system operations.  
  • Liaise with stakeholders and process owners to gather requirements and drive process improvements.  

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP PP solutions in large-scale environments.  
  • Strong ABAP development skills with demonstrated success in custom enhancements and interfaces.  
  • Experience with SAP-MES integrations and related automation processes.  
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear technical and functional documentation.  
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.  

Preferred:

  • SAP PP or ABAP certifications.  
  • Prior consulting experience with a major multinational or leading IT services firm.  
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migrations or upgrades.
