Responsibilities

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring production to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and in line with customer demand.

The role involves coordinating with purchasing material availability, working closely with production management to balance capacity and adjusting plans to address delays or disruptions.

Success in this role requires close partnership with production, purchasing, warehouse, quality and customer service.


Qualifications

Experience and Education Required:

  • Proven ability to operate a computer and perform standard software operations
  • Demonstrated ability to concentrate on detailed information for prolonged periods of time
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience and Education Preferred:

  • Planning in a versatile production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP (production planning and inventory control modules)
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Logistics related fields
  • APICS CPIM or like accreditation

This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:

  • Level I: 0-2 years (entry level) production planning/scheduling experience. This level is responsible for creating, printing and organizing manufacturing cuts to support production planning.
  • Level II: 2-4 years’ production planning/scheduling experience. This level will focus on medium to high impact production lines.
