Job description

Job Objective:
Responsible for working with the Finance & Accounting Team, Asset Teams, and the Information Technology (IT) Department to understand technology needs and challenges, deliver projects that align with the technology that provides best practice and leverage IT in support of the overall business strategy. This person supports the SAP PRA Revenue module and related processes. This person ensures the SAP system operates effectively whilst also meeting the business needs. They will also analyze, review and document the requirements of enhancement projects and assist with prioritization and manage implementation of these projects related to the PRA Revenue module. They will develop small scale ABAP reports, transactions, CDS Views and enhancements, while steering the larger scale development with internal and/or external development teams.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the needs of the Finance & Accounting functions, and how SAP supports those needs while also representing the needs of IT to the business
  • Envision, design, and deliver the SAP PRA Revenue solution to generate value in terms of automation, efficiency by exploiting best practice SAP design.
  • Use current technology to help modernize Finance Operations and IT Operations to improve reliability, increase operational efficiency, and reduce cost.
  • Oversee all phases of SAP enhancement projects from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keep end user engaged through communicating relevant project information.
  • Develop simple reports and queries in SAP, (Programs, Function Modules, Transactions, Data Elements, CDS Views), etc.
  • Manage the activities of third party software companies in delivery of IT solutions.
  • Translate project documents, including reports and project specific business rules into technical specification document for development by internal or external resources.
  • Maintain the integrity of the SAP solution by prioritizing and resolving service tickets and managing the ticket queue via the ticketing software.
  • Support end users and super users with training where required.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations (PROFOG)

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds customer confidence, is committed to increasing customer satisfaction, sets achievable customer expectations, assumes responsibility for solving customer problems
  • Ensures commitments to business stakeholders are met, solicits opinions and ideas from Finance, Accounting and Land departments, and responds to inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years minimum experience in Information Technology (and/or related fields) including project management and business analysis
  • Five (5) years minimum experience inSAP PRAmodule
  • Configuration ofSAP PRA module in IMG based on business requirements
  • Experience with the SDLC, SAP Development best practices, OO programming in SAP, SQL querying
  • Ability to debug complex processes, interfaces, background jobs, BADI Enhancements etc.
  • Deep experience utilizing SAP Debugger and navigating the object repository
  • Experience in Oil & Gas is required
  • Application supportandtrainingof end users
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or related field of study, or relevant experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Formal training in SAP, preferred, but not required
  • Certification in LEAN and/or Six Sigma, preferred, but not required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred, but not required.
