Job description

Title: Revenue Accountant
Location: Houston, Texas
Duration: 3 to 6 months
Compensation: $50 per hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking a Senior Oil & Gas Revenue Accountant with strong SAP PRA experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for a contract opportunity in Downtown Houston. This role will be responsible for handling both operated and non-operated properties and supporting the full revenue accounting cycle.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform revenue accounting for both operated and non-operated assets
  • Process and review revenue in SAP PRA
  • Handle revenue distribution, allocations, and settlements
  • Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze revenue variances and resolve discrepancies
  • Work closely with production, marketing, and joint interest teams
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting
  • Support audits and provide documentation as needed
  • Utilize advanced Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of oil & gas revenue accounting experience
  • SAP PRA experience required
  • Experience with both operated and non-operated properties
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas revenue processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
