Description

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring alignment between physical inventory and SAP system inventory across warehouse operations. This position coordinates cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory investigations, inventory transactions, and inventory reporting while supporting operational excellence initiatives. The Inventory Coordinator partners closely with Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Quality, and Customer Service to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, improve inventory accuracy, and support efficient warehouse operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

Maintain inventory accuracy between SAP and physical inventory. 

Coordinate daily cycle count activities and annual physical inventories. 

Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis. 

Process inventory adjustments following established approval processes. 

Monitor inventory transactions to ensure timely and accurate system updates. 

Ensure proper inventory rotation, lot control, serialization, and traceability where applicable. 

Audit receiving, production, transfer, and shipping transactions for accuracy. 

Reconcile inventory across multiple warehouse and off-site storage locations. 

Maintain inventory performance metrics, dashboards, and operational reports. 

Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy. 

Support inventory-related continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, 5S, and Operational Excellence principles. 

Assist with disposition of obsolete, damaged, excess, and slow-moving inventory. 

Coordinate investigations involving inventory shortages, overages, and transaction errors. 

Support internal and external inventory audits. 

Train warehouse personnel on inventory control processes and SAP transaction accuracy. 

Develop and maintain inventory-related work instructions and standard operating procedures. 

Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve inventory issues. 

Promote compliance with Netafim Quality Systems, safety policies, and company procedures. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and transaction discipline. 
  • Drive root cause investigations for recurring inventory issues. 
  • Recommend process improvements that reduce inventory adjustments and manual corrections. 
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence activities. 
  • Support implementation of new inventory control processes and best practices. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain experience. 
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred). 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliations. 
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management. 
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and transaction accuracy. 
  • Experience with SAP inventory transactions preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution. 
  • SAP WM/EWM experience. 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement. 
  • Knowledge of inventory audit practices. 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query a plus).
