About Technical Operations
BioMarin's Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.

SAP Source to Pay Business Process Lead - Source to Pay (STP) Workstream (Supplier Onboarding, Sourcing and Contracting)
Overview: We are on a procurement transformation journey - advancing our Source to Pay (S2P) maturity and expanding our global Ariba/SAP implementation. As the S2P System & Process Lead for supplier onboarding, contracting to purchase orders, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring that Ariba interactions are optimized, processes are streamlined, and best-in-class practices are embedded across our organization. This is a hands-on, change-driving position designed for someone eager to shape the next phase of our global procurement evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Transformational:
o Lead the design enhancements, configuration requirements, and deployment of all enhancements within the Ariba/SAP modules and functionalities within the STP workstream, including supplier onboarding and contracting solutions.
o Lead all aspects of defining and implementing the Target Operation Model (TOM), Process (flows, role definition), and Governance.
o Process Optimization & Configuration: Lead the design and configuration of contract lifecycle processes within Icertis, including workflows, templates, and reporting, to ensure compliance with legal and policy standards.
o Act as the primary SME for the ICM platform, providing training, functional support, and managing system upgrades.
o Partnering with Sourcing, Procurement Operations, Legal and Accounts Payable to identify and resolve process gaps, driving automation and standardization globally.
o Establish and monitor key P2P metrics for invoicing and payments at the process level and deliver actional plans to achieve performance targets. Collaborating closely with Procurement Operations who operate the process.
o Drive Ariba S2P rollout across new regions and teams, ensuring seamless adoption and compliance
o Work with Organization Change Management on educating users, building alignment, recommend best practices and fostering continuous improvement across global teams.

Process Optimization:
o Drive process improvements in supplier onboarding, contracting and sourcing, and reporting within Ariba.
o Optimize supplier onboarding, contracting and sourcing including streamlining process to ensure adoption of automated system including business process for non-PO payments.
o Enhance GSPs capabilities through Ariba/SAP solutions, enabling robust performance reporting.

Leadership and Collaboration:
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SAP technical consultants, integration specialists, and business users) to deliver STP solutions.
o Act as the primary point of contact for STP-related inquiries, providing guidance to stakeholders and resolving complex issues (accounts payable, tax, payments and finance).
o Facilitate workshops, Cross Functional Collaboration, training sessions, and change management activities to ensure user adoption and process alignment.
o Act as a subject matter expert for Icertis product capabilities, providing guidance, training, and support to end-users across the organization.

System Integration and Data Management:
o Ensure seamless integration of SAP Ariba modules with other SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, or boundary applications when necessary).
o Strong knowledge of ICM modules (Workflows, Obligation Management, Analytics) and integration capabilities with ERP/CRM systems like SAP.
o Collaborate with Global Sourcing, Global Procurement, Legal and Master Data Governance to drive data quality initiatives for STP processes.

Compliance and Reporting:
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and internal controls (e.g., SOX) within SAP/Ariba configurations.
o Support the development of financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to meet stakeholder needs in GSP.
o Support implementation process of contract compliance globally.

Project Management:
o Manage STP workstream deliverables, timelines, and budgets within SAP implementation or enhancement projects.
o Collaborate with project managers to align STP activities with overall program objectives.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, CPA, CMA) are a plus

Experience:
o 5+ years of experience as an SAP Source to Pay Business Process Lead with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role focused on STP processes supplier onboarding, contracting and sourcing.
o Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing the Icertis Contract Management platform, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.

Technical Skills:
o Proven expertise in SAP S/4 Hana, Downstream SAP, SAP Business Network, Invoice Reporting)
o Experience within upstream SAP Ariba (Supplier Lifecycle)
o Experience with Icertis Contract Management

Soft Skills:
o Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process optimization.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.

o Icertis Certified candidates preferred

Work Environment
Hybrid - would require 2-3 days onsite in Novato, CA
