Job description

Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an on-site SAP Functional SME to support our government customer's future SAP supply chain solutions at Fort Lee, VA. This position requires daily on-site work with situational telework.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical/back-end understanding not necessary, we are looking for an experienced end-user to provide functional support as our client migrates to an SAP S/4HANA solution. This role requires experience in one or more SAP retail modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), and Inventory Management (IM).

  • Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct system testing and validation for enhancements, upgrades, and patches.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
  • Assist in training end-users on SAP functionalities and best practices.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to coordinate system improvements and integrations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7 years of experience in SAP Basis or Systems Engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably within a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Certifications:

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA or S/4HANA.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) – optional but advantageous.
