What makes You an ideal candidate?

  • Strong working knowledge of data mining and business intelligence tools such as MS Office Suites, SQL, Cognos and SAP Business Planning & Consolidation
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as (e.g. Oracle)

About the role:

The Financial Analyst II - IT Services has a fundamental role in the development, tracking, reporting and analysis of IT budget. This team member will act as liaison between IT and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) on IT financial matters. This position requires significant coordination and strong collaboration with other departments and business partners in order to provide support. Candidate will work with the IT Finance, GM International Operations and FP&A to represent the accounting and finance areas on operational activities and strategic initiatives. May also perform system configuration, testing, end-user training and end-user support for the processes after implementation. The analyst will be an excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Understanding of accounting policies, principles and procedures. This role will also play a key role in the implementation of IT/process projects.

In this role you will:  

  • Perform analytical work, involving the identification, compilation, and documentation of IT expenditures, for purposes of expense/headcount tracking, project costing and show-back reporting
  • Fundamentally manage and contribute in all aspects of the annual IT budget and analysis
  • Prepare financial reports and present with reliable conclusions to enable senior management use to the data to make informed business decisions and implement effective strategies
  • Perform complex account reconciliations, analysis variances to budget and communicate trends and measures
  • Evaluate and analyze a variety of financial results and indicators such as IT expenses, capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, operating performance, financial statements, etc.
  • Support IT personnel, and FP&A, with finance related inquiries/requests, including, but not limited to requisitions, purchase orders, SOWs, funding documents and reforecasts
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures
  • Provide business counseling to cost center owners and management
  • With minimal supervision, work in a collaborative and constructive manner with internal stakeholders and various business units to complete tasks with time sensitive deadlines
  • Assist in business case development
