Job description

An international corporation in Houston, TX is currently seeking an experienced or entry-level Logistics Coordinator - SAP ERP to join their company in a full-time direct hire opportunity.


Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator - SAP ERP:

  • Documentation and payment arrangement.
  • Create shipping documentation and contracts as instructed by commercial manager.
  • Communicate with relevant counterparts such as freight forwarders, surveyors, shipping companies and others for proper filing and arrangement of documentation.
  • Maintain files and internal records of all shipping in a manner easy for others to track.
  • Create and send invoices to customers. Monitor the status to ensure payment is received per the agreement and make timely requests to counterparts when there are outstanding or overdue balances.
  • Arrange payments to supplier and vendors per the agreed terms. Professionally respond to any inquiries raised from vendors and consult with commercial manager in case of disputes.
  • Consult with commercial manager in case of any suspicious payment requests.
  • Accurately input transactions into SAP ERP.
  • Properly submit accruals (journal entry) as instructed by the commercial manager and accounting department.
  • Submit other applications requested by the commercial manager relevant to transactions.
  • Prepare and respond to any audit / internal control tests. Summarize and report requirements to the commercial and department manager.
  • Vendor management and registration.
  • Product code and data update and/or registration.
  • Provide back-up support to Sales Coordinator, if required.
  • Any other relevant support requested from commercial manager.


Requirements of Logistics Coordinator - SAP ERP:


  • Excellent communication, listening and relationship building skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience of Logistics Support (ocean import/export preferred).
  • Ability to plan, organize, structure and improve work.
  • Ability in a team environment.
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
