TITLE: Security Guard POSITION TYPE: Part-Time, Non-ExemptCOMPANY: Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLCLOCATION: SAP Center & Tech CU Arena REPORTS TO: Security Manager POSTING DATED: January 2026PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is $22.57 per hour - (SEIU Local 1877- Salary Schedule)Position Overview:The Security Team is responsible for the physical security of the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are looking for a professional individual to provide guests and employees with a safe, secure, and friendly environment to work and enjoy.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesContinuously control building access, guarding against unauthorized entry and activitiesMonitor video surveillance system and oversee various computer-related tasksMonitor electronic access control system, opening doors, creating accounts and assigning access. Conducts screening using metal detectors, hand wands and x-ray units. Regularly maintain various registers/security logsRegularly patrol facility by constant walking and climbing stairsIdentify and correct safety/security issues while escalating issues as needed to Security SupervisorProvide excellent customer service experiences to enhance experienceAbility to handle radios, speaking opening and professionally demonstrating strong verbal and interpersonal skillsFollow safety and security policies, programs and procedures with the ability to manage high pressure situationsOperate vehicle gates, fire alarms and other life safety systemsWork collaboratively with San Jose Emergency Services as neededShift Information Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays.Typical overnight shift: 12:15 AM - 8:15 AM (hours may vary depending on business needs)Typical Swing shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (schedule varies based on event needs)You must be available to work 2/3rds of the scheduled events for each month including weekends.
