Job description

Recognized as a technology leader, Sanmina Corporation provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions, delivering superior quality and support to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) primarily in the communications networks, defense and aerospace, industrial and semiconductor systems, medical, multimedia, computing and storage, automotive and clean technology sectors. Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world.

The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems.

In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services. Job Purpose: Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.

Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities: Must have the ability to perform a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams. Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools and material handling equipment as needed Initiates process improvements of assigned working area. Education & Experience: Requires a minimum of 1- 2 years related experience of production and technical knowledge.

High school diploma and college courses preferred. Must be able to lift and push up to 20 pounds Able to stand all day Able to communicate in English Able to use hand tools such as a Electric drivers Able to work 40+ a week Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines under supervision Read and understand prints and drawings. This is an ITAR facility and applicants must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
