Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Performs preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Answers radio calls and provides assistance when needed.
• Evaluates machines which fail to perform to expectations.
• Check all gaming related equipment for evidence of cheating or mechanical malfunction.
• Create work orders for games needing repairs and close work orders after completing repairs.
• All machine repairs (minor and advanced)
o Repairs that would require the game to be set up must be verified by another EGM Tech III or above
o Progressive setups must be verified by another EGM Tech III or above
• Approves EGM Tech I or II parts replacement
o If unsure about an issue, will go through EGM Supervisor or above
• GMARAs
o Submit GMARAs for machine repairs requiring QNGA approval
o GMARAs must be verified by EGM Team Member before submitting
• Projects
o Install, remove, convert, upgrade, and relocate EGMs for scheduled activities
o Install locks and player tracking
• Install, RAM clear, troubleshoot, and set up player tracking
• Install, troubleshoot, and set up BVs, printers, and CPI
• Perform minor bench tech repairs
• EGM Tech III is essentially a Lead Tech and is expected to show excellent leadership to less experienced EGM Techs
• Provide extensive training for all EGM Techs
• Provide assistance on machine repairs for all EGM Techs
• Assist with parts ordering and inventory
• Coordinates with other EGM Technicians on the shift to ensure maximum performance of the Technician team on duty.
• Train and share knowledge with EGM Tech I, Tech II and any others in the department
• Responsible for keeping the tech shop clean and organized
• Assists in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left on the floor by guests
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
• Outstanding example of and a credit to Downstream Casino Resort
• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Attends all necessary training meetings
• Continue training as opportunities arise
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Recommended minimum of 5 years of EGM Technical experience
• Demonstrate logical troubleshooting skills
• Can perform all machine repairs with minimal to no assistance
• Must have the ability to RAM clear and setup all manufacturers and models of games on the casino floor
• Demonstrate knowledge of PAR sheets
• Have the ability to perform minor bench tech repairs
• Possess strong supervisory skills, professionalism, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of various internal written & verbal codes/abbreviations
• Must be a Team Player
• Initiates and promotes a positive work environment
• Strong electronic experience preferred
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
