What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead all day-to-day plant operations to achieve safety, production, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Managed full P&L accountability, overseeing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resources to maximize profitability, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and coach team members to build engagement, collaboration, and operational excellence.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs, environmental compliance, and business goals are met.

  • Proven ability to promote a safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resources to achieve business objectives.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and team development skills with the ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.

  • Five years of aggregates operations management experience.

  • Advanced understanding of geology, mining methods, and regulations.

  • Proven leadership skills managing multiple, diverse teams.

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and business opportunity identification.

Work Environment

  • Primarily based in a sand and gravel production facility with both indoor and outdoor work environments.

  • Regular interaction with mobile equipment, processing equipment, and production operations.

  • Requires visibility and engagement throughout the plant and yard to support safe and efficient operations.

  • Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and other conditions common to aggregate production facilities.

Physical Demands of the Job

  • Ability to frequently walk production areas, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate uneven terrain throughout the facility.

  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and other conditions common in aggregate operations.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and sit for extended periods as required by operational activities.

  • Ability to wear and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform duties safely in an active industrial environment.

  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in support of business and operational needs.
