Job description

Sanctuary Recovery Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery by providing direct care and assistance in a structured treatment environment.

Position: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid BHT certification, or
  • Have a minimum of 4 consecutive years of experience working as a Behavioral Health Technician in the recovery field
  • FPCC (Fingerprint Clearance Card)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current TB test within the last year
  • Peer Support certification (suggested, not required)
  • CPI certification (suggested, not required)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and supervision to clients in a residential or outpatient setting
  • Assist clients with daily activities and ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Monitor client behavior and document observations accurately
  • Support therapeutic activities and group sessions as directed by clinical staff
  • Respond to crisis situations and follow established protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment plans
