Job description

Position Summary:

Perform the day-to-day management and distribution of samples. This person is responsible for:

  • Receipt and login of submitted samples.

  • Receipt and login of in-process samples and final product.

  • Storage, inventory, and maintenance of retention samples.

  • Ensures time sensitive samples are received and communicated to the testing teams by Sample Coordination prior to expiration (work assigned overtime and off-shift hours, if necessary)

  • Storage, inventory, maintenance, and issuance of reference standards used in testing.

  • Interacts with LIMS system, as applicable.

  • Ships samples to contract facilities.

  • Maintains and monitors sample storage equipment (controlled temperature units, CTUs) such as refrigerators, freezers, etc.

  • Issues controlled data forms (or equivalent electronic notebook)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Logs in all samples and materials submitted and maintains inventory (including communication to testing teams)

  • Shipping samples as needed

  • Issuance of controlled data forms

  • Maintain and monitor of sample storage equipment

  • Assists with writing and submitting weekly Rees (or equivalent monitoring system) reports and acts as contact for monitoring system during business hours.

  • Acts as Qualified Trainer (if applicable) for Sample Coordination procedures; is SME on sample management processes.

  • Assists in investigation and resolution of excursions or other deviations.

  • Consistently resolves sample submission errors independently.

  • Stages stability studies according to the client approved protocols.

  • Performs stability pulls for time point testing

  • Helps maintain the workspace by entering any work requests as needed

Minimum Requirements:

HS and 6+ years, AS/AA and 3+ years or Bachelor's and 1+ years of industry or lab experience or equivalent. Previous experience in sample management or work in cGMP environment preferred.

Salary Range: $26.95/hr.- $32.36/hr.

Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
