The Salon People, based in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a Salon Development Partner (SDP), which is the equivalent of a Territory Sales Manager, to join our team, Aveda Southeast Powered by the Salon People, who is located Greenville, SC. We are looking for someone who has the passion to Inspire, Educate, Consult, Coach, and Engage a dynamic group of salon owners, managers, and their teams throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina with care. The primary territory for this position is in South Carolina.


Primary Responsibilities: The Salon Development Partner is expected to meet or exceed annual sales objectives for given region by successfully and consistently delivering the "SDP In-Salon Promise" to Aveda salons in our network helping to ensure the growth of the Aveda artists, the Aveda salons and as a result, growth in our company. Engage to empower staff within salon in the territory to have more confidence in their elevated service cycle, while becoming raving fans of Aveda Hair Color and Aveda Products.

Requirements

General Requirements & Minimum Qualifications:

3 years' experience in a management position/sales or salon network

Candidate MUST live in the Raleigh, SC metro area

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Committed to providing outstanding customer service

Computer literate, business writing and communication skills

Flexible and when needed working some weekends and evenings

Ability to travel: 80%+ of the time, throughout the assigned territory with occasional travel outside of the primary assigned territory, with approximately 6 - 9 overnights per month after completion of training.

Licensed Cosmetologist is a plus, but not a requirement

Knowledge of Aveda products and experience in the Aveda network a plus

Experience with Aveda color a plus

Experience with non-Aveda color brands a plus

Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and beauty industry

Deep understanding of the salon industry and current trends.

Ability to see problems and develop action plans to get past them (i.e., inventory/stock issues)

Demonstrated results through strategic thinking

Charismatic individual with strong negotiation and communication talents

Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with multi-unit management skills

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
