Job Summary:

The Application Developer's primary responsibilities will be to focus on ensuring the development of quality software using best practices architecture, coding practice and development processes on a day-to-day basis. This position will work with Senior Analyst and functional users to determine functional requirements and provides customization, maintenance and updates as needed. Additionally, will also participate with cross-functional teams to establish and support the application development and test environments to meet agency and state requirements.
As a Salesforce developer, will identify, design, and deploy technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities and operational improvements for the Department.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based on the department's business needs and a continual meeting of expected performance measures. A minimum of two days on-site at the ADWR office is required.

Job Duties:

This position works under the supervision of the Sr. Application Developers.
The person in this position will be responsible for:
Creating, designing, implementing, and maintaining applications associated with the agency's mission. Participating in project teams involved in the planning, design, development, and implementation of new applications. Ensuring existing interfaces and programs comply with changes in technology directives and/or Department statues, regulations, and rules, writing technical documentation on application specifications and maintaining effective working relationships to improve the systems of the agency, developing, and applying business knowledge in one or more functional areas.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Experience with:

  • Collaborate with Salesforce team with Salesforce best practices, business stakeholders and internal technology partners to design and implement solutions to meet the agency's missions.
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Utilizing source control on a Salesforce projects

Knowledge of:

  • Salesforce platform.
  • Relational database, such as Oracle, SQL Server

Skill in:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Department, other governmental entities, private and public sectors, such as salesforce.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 7+ Years of developer experience.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience as lead developer on one or more Salesforce implementations.
