Position Summary:
 
Job Title: Architect Premium II – Salesforce FSC
Duration: 6 Months - Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433
 
Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon
 
Job Details:
Salesforce Administrator to lead the development of user stories that will strengthen collaboration capabilities. The goal is to enable staff to efficiently share relevant information and knowledge through enhanced platform features.
In addition, the role will focus on creating department-specific templates designed to fully leverage and integrate with all available collaboration tools and product offerings within the SalesForce ecosystem. This will ensure a seamless, scalable, and user-friendly experience that drives productivity and knowledge sharing across the organization.
 
Platform Architecture & Strategy
•                     Own and enforce platform security standards, including profiles, roles, sharing rules, permission sets, and OWD.
•                     Monitor automated provisioning and deprovisioning, ensuring adherence to least privilege.
•                     Monitor and investigate SSO and third-party authentication/TSP issues, and implement preventive measures.
•                     Conduct security health checks, audit logging, and compliance reviews.
•                     Tools & technologies: Salesforce DX (SFDX), Metadata API, Tooling API, Scratch Orgs, Unlocked Packages (2GP), Salesforce CLI, Dev Hub.
 
Release, Change & Package Management
•                     Own and manage release pipelines, including sandbox preparation, CI/CD execution, deployment validation, rollback procedures, and production releases.
•                     Manage managed packages, including second-generation packages (2GP), ensuring versioning, dependencies, and packaging standards are followed.
•                     Coordinate with developers to ensure releases are auditable, reliable, and compliant.
 
Data & Integration Oversight
•                     Oversee data quality management, including validation, deduplication, and reconciliation.
•                     Monitor integrations across APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture, ensuring reliability, resiliency, and compliance.
•                     Implement best practices for data protection, encryption, and masking in sandboxes.
•                     Tools & technologies: Data Loader, ETL tools, Reports, Dashboards, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Named Credentials.
 
Automation & Development
•                     Define Flow vs Apex decision frameworks, coding standards, bulkification, and error handling strategies.
•                     Establish reusable patterns, reference implementations, and scalable declarative/programmatic solutions.
•                     Drive retirement of non-scalable or legacy automations and triggers.
•                     Tools & technologies: Flow Builder, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Salesforce CLI, VS Code Salesforce extensions, Salesforce Test Execution Framework.
 
Operational Excellence
•                Ensure platform stability, reliability, and compliance across all clouds and environments.
•                Maintain process documentation, release notes, and automation standards.
•                Drive adoption of best practices for automation, data quality, and release processes.
 
1. SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent relevant experience
• At least 5 years of Salesforce experience, including:
• Advanced declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder)
• Design and governance of security architecture, identity models, encryption, and least-privilege enforcement
• Integration architecture for APIs, middleware, Platform Events, and event-driven patterns
• Advanced declarative and programmatic development oversight (Apex, LWC, Flows)
• Release management and DevOps governance, including second-generation packaging (2GP)
• Platform strategy and technical roadmap ownership
• Experience in large, regulated, or global organizations
Deep Salesforce platform expertise: governor limits, metadata-driven development, event-driven patterns, and large data volume handling.
Enterprise security and identity architecture: SSO, MFA, Shield, encryption, audit trails.
Integration architecture: APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, middleware, OAuth, Named Credentials.
Automation and code architecture: Flow, Apex, LWC, Aura, declarative patterns, bulkification, error handling.
