Kestra is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our enterprise Salesforce team supporting all Kestra Holdings channels. This role will contribute significantly to our Salesforce transformation initiative, helping us evolve into a unified, strategically aligned platform. The Senior Salesforce Developer will collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep development experience across the Salesforce platform, a passion for modern development practices, and a drive to improve business outcomes through technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and reusable code and configurations in Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and related technologies.
  • Perform data migrations using tools like Data Loader or third-party applications.
  • Participate in design and solutioning sessions in collaboration with the Salesforce Solution Architect and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs and integration tools.
  • Assist with the design and execution of Salesforce DevOps pipelines, including version control, CI/CD automation, and testing.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Product Owner to clarify requirements and align development work with business priorities.
  • Support the ongoing Salesforce transformation initiative by modernizing existing solutions, enhancing platform efficiency, and applying industry best practices.
  • Support platform scalability, security, and performance through regular reviews and optimization efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and administrators within the team.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user stories, design specs, and deployment guides.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for innovation and/or AI-enhanced features and automation to elevate the Salesforce user experience.
  • Maintain knowledge on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following skills and abilities:
  • Strong development skills in Apex, Schedulable processes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Ability to customize and extend standard Salesforce functionality using Flows, Custom Metadata, and Validation Rules.
  • Experience reviewing code, conducting peer code reviews, and enforcing coding standards.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
  • Effective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable items for stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, sharing rules, and governor limits.
  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Experience with Financial Services Cloud preferred.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems and APIs.
  • Financial Services or Wealth Management industry experience is a plus.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I required.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II or other certifications a plus.
