Job description

About Us

Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health is Ohio's largest urgent care network with 33 clinics across the state. We provide affordable, accessible healthcare to Ohio families and businesses — Urgent Care, Primary Care, Wellness, Occupational Health, and more. Open 7 days a week. Trusted since 2006.

We provide various value driven services to Ohio employers. We are building an inbound sales team to convert incoming inquiries into sales and grow revenue through proactive upsell conversations.

Position Overview

We are looking for a persuasive, personable Employer Services Sales & Support Representative to be the first voice many employers, individuals, and employer referrals hear when they call or contact Hometown about our services. You will convert inbound leads into closed accounts/employer contracts, process requests, handle warm transfers from our outbound team, and proactively reach out to existing employers to offer upgrades and renewals.

This role is part sales, part customer success, and fully relationship driven.

Responsibilities

  1. Answer all inbound membership inquiries by phone, email, and chat — target response time under 2 hours for email, immediate for calls
  2. Convert inbound employer, individual, and broker-referred leads into closed accounts in a single consultative conversation when possible
  3. Process online inquiries and convert them into closed accounts, set up billing, send welcome materials.
  4. Accept and close warm transfers from the outbound virtual sales team
  5. Log all activity and interactions in CRM daily
  6. Achieve monthly enrollment targets
  7. Communicate employer benefits clearly and confidently
  8. Partner with the billing team to resolve billing or account issues that surface during sales conversations

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  1. 2+ years of inbound sales, inside sales, or customer-facing enrollment experience
  2. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales conversion or enrollment targets
  3. Experience explaining complex products simply to non-expert small business owners and individuals
  4. Experience with Zoho and the ability to learn in-house software systems
  5. Strong written communication for email and chat — professional and clear
  6. Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred:

  1. Degree in any field
  2. Prior experience in sales, telecom, insurance, or employee benefits enrollment
  3. Background at Verizon Business, AT&T, Spectrum, AFLAC, Colonial Life, or a health insurance agency
  4. Familiarity with healthcare benefits, medical terminology, or health insurance concepts
  5. Experience handling objections and executing a consultative close — not just order-taking

Benefits

Compensation & Structure

  1. Base salary: 42,000-48,000 USD/year (based on experience) + Commission
  2. On-Target Earnings (OTE): $55,000+
  3. Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off

Why Join Hometown

  1. Stable W-2 employment with full benefits — not a 1099 grind
  2. Company offering services you can be proud of
  3. Supportive, close-knit team — you will work directly alongside the Sales Director and have a real voice in how the program grows
