As a sales project manager, your responsibilities are to define the requirements for qualified sales leads, initiate and nurture customer relationships, draft sales proposals including price quotes, and help sales agents close sales to meet short-term and long-term goals. You also observe the company's sales process and identify areas for improvement.

What does a sales project manager do?

A Sales Project Manager oversees and coordinates sales projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and business goals. They serve as the main point of contact between clients, sales teams, and other departments, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Their role includes developing project plans, tracking progress, resolving issues, and ensuring successful project delivery. Job description

As a member of the Global Business Operations team, you will focus on the end-to-end execution, customized scoping, and cross-functional alignment required to move complex hardware projects from early-stage sales to full mass production. You will act as a critical bridge between pre-sales opportunities and operational delivery, eliminating friction across custom engineering, production, and customer onboarding. This is a full-time position designed to ensure high-value industrial computing solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned for maximum profitability.

The Global Business Operations team is a collaborative group dedicated to delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality and high-velocity execution. It is the engine that accelerates OnLogic's growth, balancing technical value with measurable financial results.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at either our South Burlington, VT or Cary, NC office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:
  • Collaborate with Sales & Sales Engineering during the presales phase to assess system configuration, project feasibility, estimate timelines, and identify potential risks.
  • Lead the drafting of detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring clear project definitions, deliverables, milestones, and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Manage the internal process to align project deliverables with operational capacity.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for customers from Presales to Mass Production.
  • Secure approvals for project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, action item list, tracking milestones and dependencies via project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smarsheet).
  • Facilitate seamless cross-functional communication between Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Project Management, Legal, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
  • Lead weekly project status meetings, capturing action items, and driving accountability across departments.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned with project timeline and customer expectations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Monitor project budgets, tracking billable hours and resource utilization to protect profit margins.
  • Communicate any changes to the customer's project regarding timeline, budget, and scope to ensure an excellent customer experience.
The team you will be joining:

Our Sales & Marketing team is a collaborative crew of digital marketers, creative storytellers, revenue drivers, and account strategists dedicated to positioning OnLogic as the first choice in edge computing and helping customers make the impossible possible. Together, they build demand, fuel growth, and champion the customer experience across every touchpoint. From creative campaign development and ecommerce management to strategic account growth, complex solution selling, and partner co-sell motions, this team bridges brand awareness with high-impact revenue generation and scalable sales operations.

  • Hands-on expertise with key systems, including CRMs (Salesforce or HubSpot), ERP platforms (Odoo preferred), and modern project management tools like Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of presenting to C-suite leadership and navigating technical customer escalations.
  • Proactive approach to risk management, timeline execution, and cross-departmental accountability with a strong sense of individual ownership.
  • PMP or comparable project management certification preferred, along with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Who we're looking for:
  • You are driven to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction by turning complex hardware requests into seamless operational wins.
  • You hold internal teams accountable to project milestones, budgets, and SLAs to drive cross-functional productivity.
